Rae: I wanted to show you something about what effect Thailand's military coup is having on us in Pai, but I haven't seen any military vehicles, and other than the 7-11's being closed at night for curfew (which is odd, they can't even shut their lights off properly, since they're 24 hour stores), there's not a ton of impact. But there's this: That blank TV in the photo is the place that I always see people gather when anything interesting is happening on the news, whether it be protests, earthquake, whatever. But now the TV is just turned off, because the military shut down the news stations. (Pai, Thailand)
